The Future of My Blog

Last semester, I took the first public relations course which requires you to create a website. I was so proud of the finished product, which you can view here. It serves as an excellent portfolio and representation of my work. It has existing pages with work samples and an “about me” section.

The makeshift blog space on my current website.

Unfortunately, I didn’t set it up with much of a blog component. I made a page with links out to individual blog posts (as six were required for the assignment). However, these were all added by hand, and my current website isn’t equipped for easy blog additions. As a result, I returned to my freshman year OU Create account to make blog posts for this class.

I don’t know that I will continue blogging on this website, but this class has reminded me of how much I like blogging. In middle school and high school, I managed a book blog that shared reviews and news. That is something that I would love to get back into once I have more time. I could then easily link an external blog to my original website and showcase more of my work that way.

My book blog, started in eighth grade.
